Frankie Pace Park (formerly known as the I-579 Highway Cap Park) is a transformational 3-acre urban park built over the Interstate 579 canyon. The project bridged a 60-year physical barrier between the Hill District and Downtown Pittsburgh. Named in honor of Frankie Pace, a prominent 20th-century Hill District civic leader and businesswoman.

SEA served as the lead public agency overseeing planning, federal grant administration, engineering, and construction of the $32M CAP bridge park structure.
